“Law And The City” Ending Explained

“Law And The City” has aired its 12^th and final episode earlier today. This is a recap of it!

“Law And The City” episode 12 recap

Ju-Hyeong and Mun-Jeong attend Mr. Park’s funeral. Ju-Hyeong does not feel good about how the situation went and is told by his boss to drop it.

Chang-Won meets with his boss Seong Yu-Deok and tells him he’s quitting. The boss tries to dismiss it but is upset by it. He did not know how to appease to him.

Sang-Gi goes down to meet Kim Hyung-Min and thank her for helping him study to become a lawyer, he bows his head in gratitude and she assures him he doesn’t have to say it, she’s happy he’s doing so well. Sang-Gi has decided to also quit because he wants to study PHD and teach students.

After Hee Ji’s case is wrapped up and her defendant is given a light sentence, she says she wants to become a public defender.

The guys meet to eat and everyone says they’re leaving. Mun-Jeong says she has an interview for tomorrow for an in-house counsel, she feels she needs to do this for the baby.

Mun-Jeong goes to the interview and does well but at the end of it decides this is not for her, she apologizes and leaves. Her husband supports her knowing she did not want to do this.

She eventually hands him a list of women who can take her position during her leave.

Sang-Gi invites his boss, Kim Ryu-Jin, to dinner and explains he’s leaving to study. She’s upset and says they should go for drinks. The two drink and ultimately sleep together. The next day, they feel super awkward about each other.

Kim Hyung-Min finds out the foundation is being investigated and the three top lawyers show up to her asking questions, but since nothing actually is wrong. She explains the investigation won’t yield any bad results.

Hee Ji explains to Ju-Hyeong that she’s moving forward with becoming a public defender and he cheers her on. She also quits to her boss who encourages her and tells her to quit and she’ll handle things at the firm.

Sang-Gi also tells Kim Hyung-Min he’s leaving and she lets him in on a secret. She’s also leaving. She tells the lawyers this and thanks them for their hard work over lunch.

Eventually, three of the squad leave. As he goes back inside, Ju-Hyeong hands his boss his resignation letter, he will take on Mr. Park’s case but alone, as he plans on opening his own practice.

After many months

Mun-Jeong goes back to office before her maternity leave ends to check up on a case she’s helped with. She finds out that each of the bosses at each floor had hired a new person.

Each one of the squad members is now doing well at their jobs. Particularly, Chang-Won faces against his former boss Seong Yu-Deok as a prosecutor and lawyer.

The squad meets again in their old restaurant and share a meal together like they always have and discuss things together.
