The episode begins with Dae-Hyun joining Maria Welfare Hospital, and he’s welcomed by everyone who is excited to see him.
At the hospital, they’re holding a special event as a thank you to all the volunteers and the people who contribute and Ji-Hoon attends. As he speaks to So-Jeong, Young Eun rushes to her to tell her that her mom grandma Seon Ju’s condition worsened.
He reunites with them as they’ve taken care of him in the past and they’re very happy to see him. He sees just how much Seon Ju is struggling with her sickness after moving hospitals.
Gu Hye-Rim talks to one of her men and asks for the euthanasia drug so she can use it. She wants lots of it. Dae Hyun hangs out with the grandma but her daughter finds out who he is and panics, she tells her mother not to hang out with him because of his past with euthanasia.
She even decides to discharge her mom and go somewhere else because of it. The mother refuses to move and is adamant to stay here because she likes it. After finding out about his past, the grandma even asks So-Jeong to euthanize her.
The grandma even decides to run away and they spend time hunting her down, after finding her, the daughter cries asking her mom if its true she wants to stay here, and ultimately decide to not get discharged. They decide to spend the rest of grandma’s remaining days having fun together.
During a routine check for her health with So-Jeong, the grandma begins to show progressing signs of dementia. So-Jeong estimates its worsening because of all the drugs she’s taking.
Young eun finds out that her mom asked to be euthanized. She asked Ji Hoon for this when he found her after she ran away. Dae Hyun finds out too and tries to convince So-Jeong but she disagrees and says she won’t do it as it doesn’t solve anything.
On the day her mother’s results for dementia and more should be out, Young Eun reaches out to So-Jeong and asks her to help send her mother in peace.
As she’s leaving, Gu Hye-Rim shows up before her asking her to work with her because it turns out the drug she used for euthanasia could cause severe pain if not administered properly. So-Jeong tells her to go away but she’s given one bottle of the drug.
On that night, the grandma loses her senses due to her illness and wanders off. She nearly gets killed by a car but her daughter pushes her away and dies in her place. When the grandma is finally lucid and finds out, she’s given up completely and wants to die.
To stir things further, Gu Hye-Rim goes to a bar and tries to convince Dae Hyun to work with her. She wants to kill her husband. He’s shocked at her proposal.
As the night comes, Ji Hoon wraps up work and heads to see grandma. As he goes through the rooms, he stumbles upon So-Jeong who seems to be standing over the grandma. She tells him, ‘please help me.’ We don’t know whether it means the grandma is dead or alive.
