The final episode of the hit drama “Our Unwritten Seoul” aired earlier today. Let us discuss it and explain the ending!

Mi Ji visits Hosu’s home after they make up, and she talks about how good he is at accepting things and trying his best to learn to live with his disability. He apologizes to her officially and hands her a ring, she’s so happy to get the ring and hugs him tightly.

Mirae is fishing with Se Jin and he talks again about her abilities. She explains she’ll open a blog about stocks, having learned from him. She asks if she can live at his place and he doesn’t mind.

Mi Ji overseas the grandma Sang-Wol’s new restaurant sign. The two have coffee together and Mi Ji says she’s preparing for something. The grandma says she’s going to try and learn how to read.

Mi Ji’s mother comes down to check on her daughter and help her look over apartments, but she catches them kissing and tells him to go. She does not react badly to them dating and tells Mi Ji off for actually making him work because it might be a bit difficult for him.

Mi Rae meets with Tae-I and he tells her that Shin Gyeong-Min was fired and Choi Tae-Gwan was transferred to a different bad branch. He’s also quitting soon and explains that his sister is out of her room and has gotten better.

Mi Ji and her mother go apartment hunting and even sign the lease, the mother overseas everything and makes sure her daughter is okay. Hosu visits his mother and brings flowers and a cake. He also tells his mother he’s now dating Mi Ji, she’s happy for him.

Mi Ji and her mother have lunch together and the mom talks about how she originally wanted to pursue art. Mi Ji tells her to pursue it regardless of her age.

At her court hearing, Mr. Park is furious at Mirae for pursuing legal action against him, Lawyer Lee oversaw her case and is making sure she gets properly compensated for what happened to her. Later, Mirae goes to the airport to see Se Jin before he goes, they promise to keep in touch and they even share an awkward, cute hug.

Hosu is hospitalized for further treatment and his mother comes to Seoul to be by his side. Mi Ji tries to act like they’re not dating but the mother knows. Despite that, the mother still confuses both Mi Ji and Mirae.

As Mi ji exits the hospital, she gets a call from her mom. Grandma is not doing well. She had a heart attack and wants to go home; there is nothing more they could do.

They bring her back home and sleep with her. Before they sleep, the twins discuss their futures and Mi Ji reveals she wants to take the CSAT

Mi Ji dreams of her grandma getting better and packing her bags to leave. She begs her not to and eventually, Mi Ji agrees; she puts her shoes on and cries her eyes out. She’s then woken up by her mother to tell her that grandma died.

Some time passes

Mi Ji fails but tries again and eventually gets into college. And Mirae is farming well.

A year later

Hosu has learned sign language and now represents deaf people. Mi Ji is attending college and getting into fights with younger people over their failure to submit work. The couple later attends a reading by Hyeon Sang-Wol. She reads So ra’s poems well now and has gotten much better. When after the event she scolds Mi Ji for being late, she’s asked who the girl is, she says its her great-niece, they take a photo together.

Mirae is in Seoul to attend to business and now works with Ji Yun. After her meeting is done, she meets with her old sunbae Su-Yeon and we find out she started a job and is back on her feet.

As Mirae walks down the street, Se Jin finds her, and the two look at each other, smiling happily.

At night, Mi Ji and Hosu stay the night together and as she looks in the drawers for her pajamas, she sees a ring, Hosu was planning on proposing. She tries to bring up how she’d like to wait until she graduates and has decided to become a therapist, he says its fine and he’ll wait for her happily. They kiss.

The couple is told to go back to their town and find out that their mothers are planning to remodel one after the other. Hosu is moving out and is about to say Mi Ji is moving in with him, but is stopped.

The couple has a mini fight in sign language too, and Mi Ji says they should wait and not tell them they’re moving in together.

They’re packing some of their stuff too, and Mi Ji opens an old photo book. She looks at the photos and writes on a piece of paper, ‘Miji’s Seoul.’

What a beautiful drama, truly one of the best of 2025 so far. Its in my top 3, along with nine puzzles and when life gives you tangerine, this drama is truly at the top. One of the best scripts of a kdrama in a while too.

There isn’t anything I disliked about the drama, I loved all of it. Writer Lee Kang truly topped himself in this one, such marvelous writing.

Everyone did so well, and Park Bo Young deserves to be nominated for the daesang for her performance in this drama along. She was sooooooooo good, the woman you are Bo young. We love you.

I loved Jinyoung’s performance here too. I loved everybody, truly.

This was such a nice watch, from start to finish. Its been a relatively lackluster year for kdramas, but this one, this one gives me hope. I am so happy to have watched it.

My heart is with Hosu and Miji, they’re too cute for words, seriously love them so much. And special shoutout to the mothers in this drama, they did amazing.
