“Sweet Home 3” Ending Explained
Netflix has unveiled “Sweet Home 3” episodes earlier today, here is a recap of the finale and the ending explained!

Hyun-Su and Eun-Hyeok fight monsters to get to the girl who is now possessed by her father’s monster. Eun-Hyeok wants to finish her but Hyun-Su tries to stop him. Eun-Hyeok shoots a weapon at her and it hits her, as it does she tells the monster to escape, so it does.
Eun-Hyeok follows around that monster. Hyun-Su holds her while she bleeds, but she’s happy she’ll die now, a slime monster comes up to cover her wound but its late.
The ice monster is covering the exit to the stadium, but one of the girls has the balls to peak through it, the monster ends up allowing everyone but other monsters to leave, so the people begin leaving one by one until it gets to Jae-Jin who is denied an exit, he ends up fighting with Kim Young-Hu and tries to drown the left with his poison, Ha-Ni drowns in the poison as she helps the last people escape. Young-Hu puts a bomb in the monster’s mouth and escapes, both die.
Hyun-Su then goes around killing anyone the monster matter enters to. Eun-Hyeok says he’ll take one for the team and suggests he allows the monster to enter his body and burn it alive but Hyun-Su is not having it.
However, the monster matter transfers back to Sang-Wook who is still somewhat present and has his soul intact, so he pushes himself and his body to the fire to kill them both, sacrificing himself yet again.
Eun-Yu goes back to their old place and apartment, there she begins her monsterization stage, she’s becoming a monster, she cries her eyes out and has a sort of fever dream seeing her brother consoling her. she cries in his arms.
After the ordeal is over, Hyun-Su and Eun-Hyeok are about to separate. He asks where his sister could’ve went but he’s unable to give an answer. Both end up going their separate ways with Eun-Hyeok in particular holding onto their old family photo recalling what she told him, how he could still get his feelings back if he has the memories.
Chan-Yeong and Hyun-Su bring the rest of the survivors to their new location and they reunite with their families. The team is discussing where to relocate and decide to expand their parameters. Thus, they all begin walking to a new destination.
in the way, they meet more neohumans. In voiceover, Chan-Yeong says it took them a long time to accept the neohumans and that some still have doubts about them.
In voiceover, Hyun-Su says not everyone was able to come back [he has now the ability to make monsters humans again]. Hyun-Su and Eun-Hyeok are on the top of a building, holding onto hope waiting for Eun-Yu. They look up and see what appears to be her.
She looks fine and even walks away from them. in voiceover, Eun-Hyeok says, ‘we all require somewhere to wait and somewhere to come home to.’ The drama ends with a clip of both Hyun-Su and Eun-Hyeok smiling looking up at who appears to be Eun-Yu.

“Sweet Home 3” ending review
The 2nd season of this drama was a letdown in my opinion, so my expectations for the 3rd season weren’t exactly glowing but I still held my hope that this series would end well.
and… it was not what I expected. I need more time to absorb what I just watched and might tweak this review a bit, but I don’t think the ending is great.
Its missing, its missing a lot. The outlook is extremely bleak, I would have not minded it if the drama didn’t take ages to make and 3 seasons, but at least finish with better hopes or an outlook, was it too difficult to do that?
Also, I would have loved a more positive ending for Eun-Hyeok and Eun-Yu, their reunion and unfolding story was not as satisfying as I expected it to be. Granted you could say its because he’s a neohuman, but I just didn’t feel what I needed to feel with their reunion, if you know what I mean.
I just don’t understand what was the meaning of all of this…. idk man, I am confused..
