The Kdrama “Face Me” Ending Explained

“Face Me” has ended its run a couple of hours ago, let us go through the finale and explain the ending!

The episode begins with Woo-Jin throwing blood on Yoon Seo-Hee saying he’ll make Jeong Woo a criminal too. As the two come face to face, Jeong Woo is holding a knife and is about to stab him, Min-Hyung shows up and tries to stop him but Woo-Jin drives that knife into his flesh.

Thus, Jeong Woo has to save Woo-Jin so he could face punishment.

After it was over, Yoon Seo-Hee closes her practice realizing she’s in no position to heal people not having seen what was happening all around her. She’s leaving in a week overseas to contemplate and work on herself.

In prison, Jeong Woo sees Woo-Jin. He confronts him and tells him he killed him that night, not Hye Jin. He talks about Hye Jin’s cause of death saying that she was strangled, she was injured but still could’ve been saved. Woo-Jin continues to deny knowing anything about it. Jeong Woo tells him he’s also been pretending not to know what happened, and he also blames himself as he avoided this and avoided confronting him.

Woo-Jin snaps when he hears this. Then, Jeong Woo leaves him with these words.

Lee Jin-Suk gets acquitted at a hearing. Jeong Woo shows up there and bows his head in apology to him for what had happened.

In prison, Woo-Jin can’t help but re-think about what Jeong Woo said about pretending it was an accident and he didn’t kill her. He begins to lose his mind.

At the police station, both Min-Hyung and her peers get promoted. She also goes to see Hye Jin again at her resting place and finds Jeong Woo there too. The two talk and she’s happy to see him smiling feeling better and at peace these days. She says she’s happy he’s moved to plastic surgery to heal people who suffer from issues due to crimes.

On another day, Jeong Woo drives his mother to the airport and tells her he still cares for her and forgives her for what happened and that she shouldn’t be gone for too long.

Director Kim re-opened the practice and now they offer constructive surgery to victims of crimes or issues. The practice is doing well. Jeong Woo is doing a real good job consulting people, making them feel good about themselves and doing work on their faces to help them return to normal after they’d been hurt for whatever reason.

On another day, Jeong Woo asks Min-Hyung to meet. He brings a flower bouquet and she thinks its for her but its for one of his past patients who opened a gallery. The two take their time browsing the gallery and he even buys a piece.

The two leave together and take a stroll. During the stroll, he asks if she’s interested in their hospital or him, she’s flustered and asks how he could ask such a thing bluntly, he then says he felt she was upset the flowers weren’t for her. He offers to take her out for a drink because she was promoted.

The two happily walk together discussing life.
