Famous Variety Show Star And Singer Joins G-Dragon’s Agency
Singer and entertainer Kim Jong Kook, celebrating his 30th debut anniversary, has joined Galaxy Corporation.
Galaxy Corporation, also home to G-DRAGON and actor Song Kang Ho, officially announced Kim Jong Kook’s signing via a press release.
Debuting in 1995 as part of the duo Turbo and beginning his solo career in 2001, Kim Jong Kook has since become a household name not only as a singer with numerous hits but also as a variety star through shows like SBS’s “Running Man” and “My Little Old Boy.” His joining aligns with Galaxy Corporation’s vision of bridging traditional entertainment with AI-driven entertainment tech.
Galaxy Corporation CEO Choi Yong Ho stated, “As both a singer who achieved massive success through group and solo activities, and as an entertainer who established a unique presence, Kim Jong Kook is a true multi-entertainer. We are honored to open a new era of AI entertainment tech with him.”
Kim Jong Kook debuted on July 2, 1995, as part of the dance duo Turbo, before transitioning to a solo career in April 2001. In 2005, following Kim Gun Mo, H.O.T, and god, he became the fourth—and last—artist to achieve a grand slam of winning the major music awards from all three major broadcast stations.
Recently married, Kim Jong Kook is preparing for a 30th-anniversary album and concert along with his new agency move.
