Beloved Comedian Revealed To Have Halted All Of Her Activities Following The Death Of Her Mentor
Comedian Kim Shin Young’s reason for suspending her radio activities for a week has been belatedly revealed.
Since the 23rd of September, Kim Shin Young has not appeared on MBC FM4U’s “Noon Song of Hope Kim Shin Young.” Currently, special DJ Navi is holding the microphone until the 28th of September, filling in for her absence.
Previously, the production team announced, “Due to personal schedules, this week will be with special DJ Navi,” but did not reveal the exact reason, which caused curiosity and concern among listeners.
In the midst of this, Kim Shin Young’s extraordinary devotion toward the late Jeon Yoo Seong has been revealed. Comedienne Lee Kyung Shil, at Jeon Yoo Seong’s funeral hall, said, “Shin Young was by his side, changing wet towels and nursing him until the end. As a disciple, seeing her dedicate herself was admirable and thankful.” Kim Hak Rae, chairman of the Korea Broadcasting Comedians Association, also testified to her dedication, saying, “Even at the hospital, Shin Young stayed by his side.”
Jeon Yoo Seong, who was called “Korea’s No.1 Gagman,” passed away on the 25th at Chonbuk National University Hospital. After undergoing pneumothorax surgery in July, his health deteriorated, and he continued inpatient treatment but eventually left this world.
He was the first to use the term “gagman” and nurtured many juniors at Yehwon Arts University. Kim Shin Young is also known as his disciple, and her recent actions bring back the memory of the special relationship between teacher and student.
