After Halting Activities Due To Breast Cancer Treatment, Park Mi Sun Appears On TV And Discusses What Happened

Park Mi Sun has shared an update on her current health condition.

On November 10, the YouTube channel of tvN’s “You Quiz on the Block,” You Quiz on the Tube, uploaded a preview video titled, “The long-missed big sister Park Mi Sun! Her courageous appearance on You Quiz and a surprise letter for her.”

Having halted her activities due to battling breast cancer, Park Mi Sun appeared with short hair. She said, “I was worried people might be surprised because I came out looking so drastically different. Honestly, it took courage for me to appear like this.”

She continued, “To be honest, my strength hasn’t fully returned yet. Breast cancer isn’t something where you can say you’re completely cured,” explaining that her treatment is not yet fully over.

Park Mi Sun also shared, “I was hospitalized for two weeks with pneumonia and had to take all sorts of antibiotics. My face swelled up, and I didn’t even know the cause. It was treatment to survive, but I felt like I was dying,” as she reflected on her battle with illness.

She added, “I was even thankful that I got sick in winter, and I was grateful to receive treatment in a cool place during summer. Those feelings of gratitude made the whole process more bearable. So many people showed concern and care — I truly realized how much love I’ve been receiving only after getting sick,” she said calmly.

Meanwhile, Park Mi Sun had paused her activities since January, halting her personal YouTube channel and stepping down from all programs she had been appearing in. After a 10-month break, she is sharing her update through “You Quiz on the Block.”
