Popular Former Kpop Idol Calls Flower Wreath Protests Sent To Seunghan “Disgusting”
Former DAY6 member Jae (Park Jae Hyung) recently commented on the protest involving RIIZE fans who demanded the departure of Seunghan by sending funeral wreaths.
On the 17th of October, Jae took to his social media and said, “The funeral flowers were disgusting. The same people who sent them will be the first ones online mourning the tragic outcome they fought for. God forbid tragedy occurs but I’ve been on that side before and It was close. I can’t imagine the trauma it would cause someone that young.”
He then added, “Anyone involved in the flowers should be tried for attempted murder because that is what that was.”
Previously, on the 11th, SM Entertainment issued an official statement announcing Seunghan’s return to the group. He later posted a handwritten letter on the fan communication platform Weverse. However, Korean fans soon expressed their opposition to re-adding him to the group, they began sending death flower wreaths to SM’s building. The situation was so bad that over 1000 wreaths were at the site.
Then, two days later, SM announced that he’s leaving the group and the idol himself also confirmed this via a handwritten letter to fans saying he doesn’t want to cause any more harm to the group.
Meanwhile, Jae first gained public attention in 2011 by appearing on SBS’s “K-pop Star.” He joined JYP Entertainment in 2012 and debuted with the band DAY6 in 2015, but left the group in 2021 to pursue a solo career.
