A 3rd Popular Korean Celebrity, Haetnim, Admits To Receiving Injections From “Injection Aunt,” Halts All Activities
Mukbang creator Haetnim has ultimately announced a suspension of activities amid allegations of illegal medical treatment.
Haetnim posted an apology statement early in the morning on the 19th of December to address the situation. On the 18th, entertainment outlet Dispatch reported that Haetnim also allegedly received medication illegally and was administered IV drips by a person known as the “injection aunt,” identified as A.
The outlet further reported that Haetnim even acted as a go-between delivering medication to Park Na Rae, and that Park Na Rae and Haetnim used IV drips along with a high-frequency medical device—something individuals cannot legally purchase—at an officetel in Ilsan, further fueling controversy.
As a result, Haetnim has now finally addressed the situation and announced the suspension of her activities.
Below is the full statement from Haetnim:
“Hello, this is Haetnim. First of all, I sincerely apologize for causing concern to everyone who has cared for and supported me.
Regarding the controversies and allegations currently being raised, I am reflecting on myself and organizing my thoughts, and if there are any parts where I was wrong, I will acknowledge them and will not make excuses or evade responsibility. I first met the person surnamed Lee, who is currently at the center of the controversy, at a hospital in Gangnam-gu through an acquaintance’s introduction, so I believed without any doubt that she was a doctor and received treatment.
I believed Lee to be an actual doctor. On days when I was busy, Lee did come to my home on some occasions. However, I have never once gone to Lee’s home. The fact that I failed to look more carefully into various circumstances and act more cautiously is entirely my fault, and I am deeply reflecting on it.
I sincerely apologize for unintentionally causing discomfort and harm to fans and various people involved, and I hope that the damage suffered by everyone due to this will be minimized. I have decided to step down from all programs I am currently participating in and to suspend all scheduled activities.
I sincerely apologize to everyone who showed love even for my shortcomings, and I will face this matter with a sincere and truthful attitude to the best of my ability. Once again, I would like to apologize to the many people who supported me.”
This makes Haetnim the 3rd celebrity to admit to receiving injections from the so-called Injection Aunt. Previously, Key admitted to it after several allegations and reports about Park Na Rae gained massive attention.
