Park Na Rae Issues Official Statement Denying The Two Managers Claims, Reveals Her Side Of The Story
Broadcaster Park Na Rae is facing allegations of power harassment toward her managers, and her side has released an official statement.
Park Na Rae’s agency stated on the 5th of December, “We are currently verifying the exact facts regarding some recent media reports based on claims from Park Na Rae’s former managers. We sincerely apologize for the delay in issuing a statement, which has caused confusion and concern.”
The agency claimed, “Two employees who worked with Park Na Rae for about a year and three months recently resigned, and we paid their severance properly. However, after receiving their severance, these employees demanded an additional amount equivalent to 10% of the company’s previous year’s revenue.”

Regarding the delay in registering as a cultural and artistic planning business, the agency explained, “We are a one-person agency operating with a small staff, and we only recently confirmed that the registration was delayed. The former employees who raised this issue were responsible for this task, and they falsely reported that all registration procedures had been completed. After leaving the company, they reported this to the media, and we became fully aware of the situation through related inquiries. We deeply reflect on the shortcomings in our operations and are currently completing the proper procedures as quickly as possible.”
The agency added, “Over time, they added new claims and continued to pressure Park Na Rae and the company. The amount of their demands gradually increased, reaching several hundred million won. Park Na Rae has experienced significant mental stress and emotional shock due to the sudden resignation of employees she worked with, their unfounded claims, increasing monetary demands, and media pressure.”
Furthermore, the agency said, “We recognize the operational shortcomings and do not intend to evade responsibility for any mistakes. However, given the ongoing unnecessary misunderstandings and pressure caused by false claims, we have decided that we can no longer yield to one-sided demands. Accordingly, after legal review, we have decided to take necessary legal action.”
They added, “The allegations raised by some media outlets will be clarified through legal procedures. Until the exact facts are confirmed, we ask for careful reporting to prevent the spread of speculative reports and unnecessary misunderstandings that could cause further harm to Park Na Rae and those involved.”
Earlier, two of Park Na Rae’s former managers reportedly filed a provisional seizure on real estate against her in court, alleging assault and proxy prescription, and they also hinted at filing a damages lawsuit.
The former managers claimed that they were privately harassed while performing tasks such as fetching snacks, cleaning up after parties, being on call 24 hours, as well as handling proxy prescriptions and medical appointments. One manager also claimed they were verbally abused and had a drink thrown at them because they “do not drink alcohol,” sparking public outrage.
In response, the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul announced on the 5th that they received a complaint through the National Petition System requesting an investigation into Park Na Rae for special injury, violations of the Medical Service Act, and violations of the Popular Culture Industry Act.
