CEO Of EXO-CBX’s Parent Company Goes Off On SM, Threatens To Expose Recordings Of Alleged Blacklisting Against Artists
Singer MC Mong has voiced his dissatisfaction with SM Entertainment after XIUMIN, who is under his agency, was reportedly unable to appear on KBS’s Music Ban due to SM’s interference.
On March 5, MC Mong posted a screenshot from a Korean dictionary showing the search result for the word “슴” and wrote, “Your name suits you well. Do you remember coming to my house to apologize? You’re stuck on an island, engaging in nothing but barbaric and violent acts. As an adult, this is just embarrassing.”
He then addressed a specific individual, saying, “You are worse than a snake. Pretending to be kind and good while bullying the weak. At your age, you’re doing something even worse than school violence by using your power. I have evidence, even recordings—I’m debating whether to expose them. I don’t care if I get bad rumors spread about me, but this time, you messed with the wrong person.”
MC Mong continued, “Even in 2025, you can’t provide a single proper statement of accounts. Truly seum-like. Beastly.” The post has since been deleted.
MC Mong is the co-founder of One Hundred, the parent company of XIUMIN’s agency, INB100.
Previously, One Hundred claimed, “Recently, KBS has informally conveyed that it is impossible for XIUMIN to appear on Music Bank or other programs where SM Entertainment artists are scheduled. We believe that the public broadcaster is blocking appearances not due to music or other valid reasons but because of its interests with a specific company.”
The company further stated, “If the unfair treatment toward our artists continues, it means our artists won’t be able to promote on music shows during the weeks SM Entertainment artists have comebacks. KBS has made it difficult for XIUMIN and other artists to appear on Music Bank, but we will continue to strive for fairness. We will do our best to ensure that such unfair practices do not continue to harm countless artists.”
KBS has since issued a statement calling it a groundless rumor and said they’re in continuous talks with Xiumin’s company.
