Nana Breaks Silence On Malicious Reactions After Confirming Relationship With T.O.P, Asks For Respect For Her Privacy

Actress Nana has expressed her discomfort with the malicious reactions that poured in after she confirmed her relationship with T.O.P (Choi Seung Hyun) and asked people to respect her privacy.

On November 5, Nana posted a long message on her personal channel, sharing her feelings about the reactions of some netizens since the public confirmation of the relationship.

She began by saying, “For 17 years, I have done my work sincerely at every moment and given my best.” She continued, “I am also a person, so there were times I was emotionally shaken and unstable, but even then I never took the tasks given to me lightly or failed to fulfill my responsibility.”

Nana then thanked the fans who have supported her without change for 17 years. She wrote, “Over the 17 years, I have had fans by my side who cheer and support me, wishing only for my happiness without expecting anything in return. Whether I was working a lot or in a blank period with no news, you quietly waited and cheered for me with unchanging hearts. I wanted to protect those precious hearts and hoped you would be happier because of me. That is still the same now.”

Explaining why she wrote the post, she said, “The reason I wrote this now is that I wanted to tell those who call themselves fans and intentionally write malicious posts, ignoring my choice and freedom because of my public dating confirmation.” She also wrote that she hopes they will coolly reflect on what they want and expect from entertainers and from a person called Nana.

Nana expressed her discomfort, saying, “I tried to understand all of your words and actions, but I can’t understand them. Did I make some big mistake? What harm did you suffer because of me? Did I cause a moral controversy?”

Stressing that dating is a private matter, she said, “I don’t think it’s something I need to apologize for,” but she conveyed her apologies to the fans who were hurt unnecessarily by this. She said, “I am sincerely sorry to the fans who have been quietly enduring. I will remember the preciousness of and gratitude for every word of support you give me,” and promised, “I will repay you by showing a good side of myself.”

Nana and T.O.P reportedly met through the filming of a music video and became a couple around June. As we reported on October 2, the two confirmed they were dating within an hour of the dating report, and Nana shared her first reaction on a fan communication platform, saying, “I will meet you in a pretty and healthy way.”
