The 2025 MAMA Awards Announces The Cancellations Of The Saja Boys Collab From “Kpop Demon Hunters”
The special stage of the boy groups’ Saja Boys, which was part of the “2025 MAMA Awards,” has been canceled.
On the 29th of November, KOZ Entertainment announced through its official X (formerly Twitter), “Due to the scaled-down operation of the ‘2025 MAMA Awards,’ we will not be participating in the performance that was scheduled for today. We ask for the generous understanding of the fans.” Pledis Entertainment also stated, “We will not be participating in the stage scheduled for today.”
Originally, on the second day of the “2025 MAMA Awards” on the 29th, a special stage by the Saja Boys from Netflix’s “K-pop Demon Hunters,” featuring Lee Han of BOYNEXTDOOR, Wonbin of RIIZE, Shin Yu of TWS, Park Gunwook of ZEROBASEONE, and Han Yujin, had been announced.
However, after a large-scale fire disaster occurred in Hong Kong, the “2025 MAMA Awards” stated that the event would still be held as scheduled, but the stage production and proceedings would be conducted in accordance with the local atmosphere of mourning.
Accordingly, the organizers removed all previously planned flashy stage effects, such as fireworks or pyrotechnics. The Saja Boys, who had a grim reaper concept, also appear to have been canceled for the same reason.

However, another group from “K-pop Demon Hunters,” Huntrix, is expected to go on stage as scheduled. The special “Golden” stage for Huntrix will be performed by BABYMONSTER Parita, Ahyeon, and Rora.
Meanwhile, on the 26th, a large-scale fire disaster occurred at a 32-story apartment complex in Tai Po, northern Hong Kong. So far, 128 people have been confirmed dead, 79 injured, and around 200 missing, making it a devastating accident that has greatly shocked Hong Kong society. In response, the Hong Kong authorities declared a three-day national mourning period starting on the 29th.
