Sandara Park Personally Denies Drug Use Allegations Raised By Park Bom, Unfollows Her On Instagram
Sandara Park of the group 2NE1 has directly addressed recent drug-related rumors, firmly asserting her innocence.
On the 4th of March, Sandara Park posted a brief message on her social media stating, “I have never done drugs. I hope she gets well.”
This controversy began on the 3rd, following a post uploaded by Park Bom to her own social media. Referencing her past drug-related controversy, Park Bom caused a significant stir by claiming that “Sandara Park was caught with drugs, and to cover it up, they made me out to be a drug addict.” Although the post has since been deleted, it spread rapidly across online communities, leading to groundless speculation directed at Sandara Park.
Sandara Park’s response is being interpreted as a move to stop the spread of baseless rumors while displaying a magnanimous side—wishing for the recovery of her colleague, Park Bom, who started the controversy, rather than expressing resentment.
In tandem with her statement, Sandara Park has since unfollowed Park Bom on Instagram.
Currently, Park Bom has been causing concern with several instances of erratic behavior. She recently sparked a “self-proclaimed” dating rumor with actor Lee Min Ho and raised allegations of unpaid settlements against her former agency, YG Entertainment, both of which were denied.
Park Bom’s agency released an official statement saying, “Settlements have already been completed, and Park Bom is currently in an emotionally unstable state, focusing on treatment and recovery.”
Meanwhile, although 2NE1 moved fans worldwide with their full-group reunion activities in 2024, Park Bom has been on a temporary hiatus from activities since last August due to health reasons.
