SEVENTEEN Members Shed Tears Accepting Two Daesang Awards At The 2024 MAMA Awards
The group SEVENTEEN has won two grand prizes at the ‘MAMA Awards.’
On the 23rd of November, the ‘2024 MAMA Awards was held at Kyocera Dome in Osaka, Japan.
On this day, the grand prizes of Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Artist of the Year were awarded.
SEVENTEEN won Album of the Year with their mini 11th album, Seventeenth’s Heaven, released last October.

When announced as the winners, SEVENTEEN rose from their seats in the artist section and exchanged joyful hugs among the members. On stage, Seventeen said, “We are truly so thankful to have won the Album of the Year award at MAMA, following last year.”
They continued, “We didn’t think we’d get emotional, but after receiving the award and hugging the members, it reminded us of the time spent together. It feels like all the hardships we endured together have been rewarded, and we are happy.”
Furthermore, SEVENTEEN said, “Although Jun and Jeonghan are not present here, this album was something we all worked hard on together. We’ll continue to produce great albums as Seventeen. We will keep working hard with a grateful heart.”
SEVENTEEN also won Artist of the Year, securing two grand prizes. When accepting their second grand prize, some Seventeen members shed tears.

Seventeen said, “Thank you to our Carats for making us the Artist of the Year. We didn’t expect to receive two grand prizes. These two awards seem to signify that we should continue moving forward as Seventeen. We will work hard.”
