Jungo is having a conversation with Kanna and she asks him about what he sees her like. He says she’s confident and such, as they’re conversing she notices Hong and tells him about it. He runs after her and misses her.

In voiceover, Jungo revisits the lonliness he made Hong feel and how he didn’t notice or try to fix it. While having breakfast in the hotel, Kanna says goodbye and tells him to say his true feelings to her and try his best to convey them properly. She leaves early to Japan.

On his last day in Seoul, he asks to visit the office to thank everyone and learns Hong was not in office, he leaves his keychain next to hers. She notices it when she comes back and decides to pick up the book and read it.

In his final interview, Jungo is asked what comes after love, he says that besides regret and such, understanding also comes which is kinda ironic.

After his schedule ends, he asks for Hong’s number from his translator and as he’s about to call, she calls him from her old number registered as Beni in his phone. He answers and pleads to meet up to just thank her. She agrees.

When they meet up, she tells him she can’t be long because of meetup plans with her boyfriend and even lies and says she accepted the proposal. He thanks her for everything with his Seoul book tour and says he was pathetic in their relationship in the past. She says she should be thanking him because he wrote a book about her.

Their meeting ends up on a somber note and he rushes to ask her to promise him to always be happy, and she asks him to promise her the same.

She goes to her car and cries her eyes out.

She then recalls meeting with her father’s past lover in Japan and how she didn’t resent his father for not agreeing to their relationship, but she couldn’t fathom leaving and living overseas in a foreign country but she hopes their relationship will be different.

In the morning as Jongo is checking out, he’s told they forgot to give him the flowers and he reads the message which said, ‘I am sorry about today, happy birthday, Hong.’

She decided not to go to work today and instead run. As she’s running, Jongo begins running alongside her. When they stop, he explains he started running because he missed her and as he kept going, he realized that he understood she was running because of her loneliness. She counters that she didn’t see it until the end that she also made him feel lonely and miserable. They both apologize and he dries her tears, they then hold hands and continue to walk together. It starts snowing.

We then fast forward to the spring time, the couple is now running alongside each other in the beautiful scene.

That was an…. Ending.. I was mentally prepared for them to never reunite so I was genuinely surprised they ended up together.

While I do think Jongo screwed up, Hong wasn’t that in the right either. I didn’t quite understand but it seems she stopped working in Japan and he provided for both of them…. Thats never clarified but if its true, then it means she relied on him fully not to feel alone… which is not a good thing to do.

I lived overseas a lot and I get it, it gets lonely, but putting your entire happiness in one person is not a good idea. They were both young kids so mistakes were made.

I kinda like the ending but not as much as I thought I would… idk how to explain it, its good they reunited but they don’t really explain just how hard this relationship will be….. He’s an established writer in Japan and she’s a successful publishing manager in Seoul. How will their relationship fully flourish? Truly… what comes after their reunion?

The last episode was fine and felt slightly repetitive and boring. I think if you were not truly immersed in the drama, you might’ve thought of it like that.

This drama isnt for everyone because of its somber feel but I think if people find out its a happy ending, more will be willing to watch it.

Overall, it was a good drama and I enjoyed it a lot.
