Comedian Park Na Rae Posts A New Public Statement Via Video, This Is What She Said About All Her Recent Controversies
Comedian Park Na Rae appeared in public for the first time in 12 days following allegations of mistreatment toward her manager, and her statement has raised eyebrows.
On the 16th of December, Park Na Rae shared a video in which she expressed her current state of mind and explained how she plans to proceed.
She said,
Hello. I am comedian Park Na Rae. I am taking seriously the concern and fatigue caused to many people due to the recently raised issues.
Because of these issues, I voluntarily withdrew from all programs I was appearing in. I made this decision because I did not want to cause confusion or burden to production staff and colleagues any longer.
Regarding the issues currently being raised, there are aspects that require calm confirmation of facts, so legal procedures are underway.
During this process, I will refrain from making any additional public statements or explanations.
I believe this matter is not an issue of personal emotions or relationships, but one that must be objectively verified through formal procedures.
This choice is not to criticize anyone or determine responsibility, but a decision to exclude emotions and personal judgment and entrust the matter to proper procedures for resolution.
Although many stories are circulating at present, it is not what I want for someone else to be hurt or for this to develop into unnecessary controversy.
Therefore, I plan to temporarily suspend all activities and focus my time on organizing and resolving this matter.
I will reflect on my responsibilities and attitude in my position. Matters that require time will be handled calmly through proper procedures.
I thank the many people who have cherished and supported me, and in order not to create further controversy, I will refrain from speaking on this matter after this video. Thank you.
Recently, Two former managers of Park Na Rae filed an application for provisional seizure of real estate at the Seoul Western District Court. They claimed damages including workplace harassment, special injury, proxy prescriptions, and unpaid operating expenses during their employment, and announced plans to file a lawsuit seeking approximately 100 million won [$67,855] in damages.
The former managers alleged that Park Na Rae made them run errands for side dishes, clean up after parties, and wait on standby 24 hours a day due to forced drinking gatherings, as well as assigning them family-related tasks and using them as household helpers. One manager also claimed to have suffered an injury after being hit by a glass thrown in anger following verbal abuse for not drinking alcohol.
They further claimed that the so-called “Injection Aunt” allegation involving proxy prescriptions and illegal medical practices is only one out of 100 allegations related to Park Na Rae. Park Na Rae denied all the allegations.
The former managers stated that everything would be revealed through police investigation and continued with allegations that during regional schedules, Park Na Rae received illegal medical treatment from another so-called “IV Aunt.”
