Park Na Rae Announces A Complete Halt Of Her Entertainment Activities After Various Controversies Back To Back
Comedienne Park Na Rae officially announced a halt to her broadcasting activities after various controversies. The shock is growing as she follows the procedure of leaving the programs she had been appearing in, including MBC “I Live Alone,” which had been her main variety show.
Park Na Rae had originally predicted that she would release a statement on the 7th, but on the 8th of December, one day later, she revealed her position directly through her personal SNS. In her statement, she said, “In early November, two managers who had been like family suddenly resigned, and afterward, because enough time for conversation was not given, misunderstandings piled up.”
She continued, “With the help of those around me, only yesterday did I finally meet face-to-face with my former managers, and the misunderstandings and distrust were resolved. Even so, I think all the responsibility is due to my own fault,” bowing her head.
Park Na Rae said, “A person who should give laughter and joy should not cause inconvenience to programs and colleagues any longer, so I have decided to halt all broadcasting activities,” in effect declaring self-reflection. She also said again, “I bow my head deeply and apologize to all those who have believed in me and supported me until now.”
Facing the biggest crisis since her debut with consecutive controversies including manager power-abuse accusations, illegal medical-practice allegations, and single-person agency non-registration issues, the aftermath of the related issues is expected to continue for a while even after Park Na Rae’s declaration of halting activities.
