Known Korean Actor Asks For Variety Show Episode To Be Scrapped Despite Filming, Agency Explains What Happened As Controversy Ensues

Actor Kim Seung Woo’s agency has addressed reports that his episode of JTBC’s “Let’s Have a Meal” was discarded. This comes after controversy following reports of the filming going as planned but then having the episode scrapped.

A representative from The Queen AMC told Sports Seoul on September 3, “It is true that Kim Seung Woo participated in the filming of ‘Let’s Have a Meal.’”

The agency explained, “He joined the filming happily after hearing Tak Jae Hoon’s voice.”

However, Kim Seung Woo had consumed a small amount of alcohol at the time, and the agency was concerned. They advised against filming, and Kim Seung Woo later requested that the footage be discarded. As a result, the cast ended up having their meal at a convenience store instead.

The agency also clarified rumors that the filming lasted three hours, stating that it was only around 30 to 40 minutes.

Previously, during the recording of “Let’s Have a Meal” with Tak Jae Hoon, Kim Hee Sun, Lee Yeon Bok, actors Lee Jin Wook and Jung Chae Yeon visited Kim Seung Woo’s residence in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. However, reports that the footage was discarded at Kim Seung Woo’s request had raised questions.
