“Knowing Bros” Adds Its First Ever Woman Cast Member As Heechul Takes A Break For The Time Being
Comedian Kim Shin-young is set to join JTBC’s flagship variety show “Knowing Bros” as a new fixed member, signaling changes for the program. Alongside this, Super Junior’s Kim Heechul will temporarily step away to take a break to regroup.
On the 30th of April, the “Knowing Bros” team officially stated,“We have selected Kim Shin-young as a new fixed member. Kim Heechul will take a break for a while due to health reasons,” while clarifying, “This is not a departure,” firmly expressing their intention to maintain the existing member lineup.
This addition is particularly significant as it marks a historic change in the show’s history. Since “Knowing Bros” first aired in December 2015, this is the first time in about 10 years that a female celebrity has joined as a fixed member. Expectations are building regarding what new colors will be added to the format, which has been centered around male members under the “Hyungnim School” concept.
Kim Shin-young has already demonstrated her proven variety sense through multiple guest appearances. With her unique quick wit, unfiltered talk, and ability to master situations, she has consistently left strong impressions, steadily raising expectations for her role as a fixed member.

Kim Heechul is simply taking a temporary break to recover his condition and handle scheduled commitments, with plans to rejoin the program afterward.
