THE BOYZ’s Agency Explains Why They Kicked Out Ju Haknyeon In Statement Refuting His Recent Claims
THE BOYZ’s Agency Onehundred has responded to Ju Haknyeon‘s newest statement!
In an official statement released on the 20th of June, Onehundred stated, “We express deep regret regarding Ju Haknyeon’s unilateral and false claims.” The agency explained, “We recognized that Ju Haknyeon’s recent matter could cause significant harm to the group’s activities, which led to the decision to suspend his activities. After further reviewing the situation, we clearly informed him that his actions fall under Article 6, Clause 3 of the exclusive contract, which states that conduct that damages the dignity of a public cultural artist to the extent that it hinders entertainment activities constitutes grounds for termination.”
They continued, “The termination of Ju Haknyeon’s contract was carried out in accordance with the stipulations in the contract and is a justifiable and reasonable measure. The core issue lies in Ju Haknyeon’s attempt to avoid responsibility and his repeated, distorted claims. If these claims persist, we will take all necessary legal actions to protect our company and artists from harm. We will submit supporting documents and evidence to the relevant legal authorities.”
Onehundred added, “Following this statement, we will not release any further responses to Ju Haknyeon’s false claims. The activities of The Boyz, excluding Ju Haknyeon, will continue as scheduled, and we will do our utmost to protect the remaining members’ reputation and rights.”
Earlier that same day, Ju Haknyeon released a personal statement on his social media, saying, “If there is any evidence of prostitution, I ask that it be revealed immediately,” and asserted, “I never agreed to withdraw from the group or to the termination of my exclusive contract.”
He further stated, “I will hold the agency accountable for expelling me from the team without cause and for falsely claiming contract termination. I will also pursue accountability against media outlets that are causing harm by mentioning unverified claims of prostitution.” He concluded, “No matter what happens, I will fight to reveal the truth.”
Previously, on June 18, One Hundred announced that Joo Haknyeon would be leaving THE BOYZ following a recent personal controversy. The group will continue as a 10-member team. This came after the agency had previously announced his hiatus a couple of days prior, citing personal reasons.
Later, reports emerged that alleged he paid the AV actress for sex which he later denied in a short apology statement.
The controversy grew so big that the CEO of One Hundred herself also ended up issuing an apology.
