Rare Sighting Of Seungri Shocks Netizens, Spotted Attending An Overseas Event

Seungri (Lee Seung Hyun, 34) recent photos of him attending an overseas event have garnered attention online.

In the circulating images, Seungri is seen in a sharp suit, engaging in conversations with people. Notably, his appearance has changed, with noticeable weight gain as well.

The individual who first shared the photos claimed, “He’s earning more than G-Dragon,” sparking curiosity about Seungri’s current status. The event reportedly took place at the Vietnam branch of Swiss luxury watch brand J, where Seungri met Jacob Arabo, the brand’s founder and creative director.

Seungri’s past controversies remain a significant chapter in his history. In 2019, he was implicated as a central figure in the “Burning Sun Gate,” facing nine charges including habitual gambling, procuring prostitution, and embezzlement. Following legal proceedings that went up to the Supreme Court, he was sentenced to 1 year and 6 months in prison in May last year.

Initially enlisting in the military during his trial, Seungri served part of his sentence in a military prison before being transferred to a civilian facility to complete his term. He was quietly released upon finishing his sentence.

Recently, Seungri has been seen attending overseas parties, reigniting criticism. Some have accused him of capitalizing on his connection to BIGBANG, particularly when he references his former bandmates or dances to BIGBANG hits at events.

In May, there were reports that Seungri was planning to launch a club business in Cambodia, and similar rumors emerged in Hong Kong. However, a spokesperson for the Hong Kong government denied receiving any visa application from Seungri, stating, “No application from a former South Korean entertainer has been filed.”
